Uniform Teeth x Impress

07 September · 2 minutes

We are thrilled to announce that Uniform Teeth is merging with Barcelona-based, Impress. We are coming together to not only deliver the most technologically advanced orthodontic care but also to form a worldwide network of 130 aligner-focused orthodontic clinics. Together, we will transform the orthodontics industry all over the world.

Orthodontics is outdated

It’s a fragmented industry with very little innovation. For the most part, orthodontics is delivered the same way today as it was 50 years ago. We are so used to receiving care in this format - visit your local orthodontist, get braces, checking back in weekly for painful wire-tightenings, and repeating this process for the next 2-4 years.

It doesn’t have to be this way. I know this because we do it differently at Uniform Teeth. We’ve developed patented technology to move teeth more precisely, resulting in faster treatment times, less than a handful of visits total, and a delightful process. All with clear aligners.

Direct to Consumer didn’t live up to its promise

A number of direct-to-consumer players have entered and left the market over the past 5-10 years. With this wave, people may have been under the impression that orthodontics would change forever. No need to visit a doctor, no need to check in; just take an impression from the comfort of your home, receive your kit in the mail, and sit back and relax while you straighten your teeth.

We now know that this model isn’t what was originally promised. The types of cases that DTC companies can treat represent a tiny fraction of the overall market. On top of this, there are regulatory issues and health risks, and the results are, quite frankly, pretty poor.

Uniform Teeth is different. Our patients actually have something to smile about, and with their perfect teeth, they do smile quite a bit. We have the convenience that DTC promised with the oversight of an actual orthodontist. And we’re just getting started.

Impress, really impressed us!

Impress is an orthodontics company based in Europe with a parallel mission and path. Like Uniform Teeth, Impress was founded by an orthodontist, they treat patients in their clinics, and monitor them with a mobile app. Impress also uses advanced technology and clear aligners to create a delightful experience. We know this not only from visiting their clinics but also from the 1,400+ 5-star Google reviews. Impress is the fastest-growing healthcare company in Europe, and this merger only accelerates that growth.

Uniform Teeth and Impress are stronger together

With all the synergies between our two companies, it’s become abundantly clear that we are stronger together. We’ve only scratched the surface of where we believe orthodontics can go. What’s possible is not even on the market yet, and we believe we can bring it to market faster as one worldwide company.

How you will receive care in the next few years will be dramatically different from anything out there today. We are already starting to build what is next, and we can’t wait to get more people smiling soon.

Together, we are set to launch five new locations in the US this year and plan to roll out another 50 by the end of 2023.

FAQ

Who is Impress?

Impress is Europe’s top orthodontic provider. They have 100+ clinics throughout Europe and are headquartered in Spain.

Why is Uniform Teeth merging with Impress?

Like us, Impress delivers high-quality, modern orthodontic care that is directed by a licensed orthodontist. By joining forces, we will be able to provide an even more technologically enhanced patient experience. Additionally, we excited for this new alliance, because we will be able to offer worldwide care and support—and now our expert care can be found anywhere.

What does this mean for my orthodontic treatment?

Treatments will stay exactly the same as planned in our free consultation. Your orthodontist will still be your provider, you will continue your in-person appointments at your designated clinic, and you will continue to stay on track to achieve the smile goals you set from the beginning.

What changes should I expect to see?

We believe only positive ones. You will begin to see the Impress brand on emails, app, website, and packaging as we evolve. We are thrilled to introduce you to the Impress brand because in partnership with them, we are able to continue to deliver a high-quality experience. This merger will also allow us to provide even better patient support with a 24/7 app care team.

Do I continue using the Uniform Teeth app for booking appointments and checking in?

Yep! Continue using the app as you have been throughout your treatment.
