Here’s what you can expect as you look through your Impress kit and everything the box contains to begin your dental alignment journey.

Aligners

The heart of your treatment: the aligners. The Impress box includes all the aligners you need for your treatment plan. Each set is individually packaged and numbered in sequence for simple and intuitive use. Start with pack 1 and change your set of aligners when your orthodontist tells you to.

Don’t forget that Impress offers an incredible hybrid service. What does a hybrid orthodontic treatment service mean? You can use the app to receive remote support in between clinic visits. The patient care team are at your disposal to chat with via the Impress app, so you can clear up any doubts about your progress and check when to change to new aligners. We want every patient to achieve the best results with their corrective aligner treatment.

Dental Templates

If your treatment requires attachments, your kit will contain one or more dental templates of your teeth. These impressions are used to place or reposition the attachments, so it is essential to bring them with you to each visit.

Aligner Case

Caring for your aligners when you’re not wearing them is important - keeping them in the aligner case ensures they stay in good condition. It also reduces the risk of any surface contamination. Always carry the case for the aligners with you and use it every time you remove them to eat or brush your teeth.

Teeth Whitening Pen

If it’s included in your plan, you will also find the whitening kit* for an even brighter smile! You can whiten your teeth while wearing your aligners, here's how:

1. Remove the cap from the syringe and add a drop of whitening gel to the space corresponding to each tooth in the aligners.
2. Wear your aligners and let the treatment act for at least an hour.
3. Finally, remove your aligners, rinse them with cold water and brush your teeth before putting them back in.

Orthodontic Chewies

These silicone cylinders will be your best ally in making sure your aligners adhere correctly. Each time you wear them, bite them for a minute to ensure a perfect fit.

Chew Retractor

To take proper photos of your smile and monitor the progress of your aligner treatment, use the chew retractor. Insert it between your cheeks with the semi-circular side facing down to obtain clear and precise images. Don't forget to share your smile glow up with friends!

Outie

This handy hook will help you remove your aligners easily. To use it, hook it onto the edge of the aligners on your molars and gently pull down: you'll see how easy it is to remove them!

Top tips for aligner care:

1. Eating or drinking windows should total two hours per day.
2. To reduce the risk of tooth movement and to ensure your aligners are doing their job, wear your aligner for 22 hours every day.
3. Try not to drink anything other than water to prevent staining.
4. Brush and floss your teeth after each meal before you put your aligner back in. This makes sure all food particles are removed!
5. Do not soak your aligners in warm water to clean them. Instead, clean your aligners by rinsing them and using a toothbrush to remove any debris.
